# 1285 All Greater Rochester 2017 The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle announced their 2017 All-Greater Rochester Lacrosse team today. The list features the top sixteen players and a number of honorable mentions were led by Canandaigua senior Attackman, Devin Andrews who was named "Player of the Year". Andrews, who was also a US Lacrosse All-American, scored 72 goals and 47 assists this year. The SportsFive Offensive Player of the Year plans to study and play at Stony Brook next year. |

The senior from Aquinas was name to the All Section Five second team and was on the first team GRALL list last season after recording 45g-23a for the Little Irish. As a freshman, Evan posted 6g-12a for the Cougars are Honeoye Falls-Lima where he was named a NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete. |
# 992 HFL 9 - Wayne 8 in Overtime Freshman attackman Evan Kelly scored the game winning goal with 1:16 remaining in the first overtime period to give HF-L their 9-8 win over Wayne. The Cougars held off a late push by the Eagles with senior midfielder Ryan Kelly scoring the tying goal to send the game into overtime. The game was back and forth with both teams leading during the contest. Wayne scored the opening goal during man-up with Andrew Jenkins assisting Tim Oddi. Six minutes later HF-L scored their opening goal (also during man-up). Ryan Kelly scored with an assist from Tim Breau. Each team added another goal in the opening quarter and the first quarter ended with the score tied at 2-2. |

After a 12-11 overtime win the first time the two teams played, they both came into tonight with high expectations. Although the Royal Comets started off the game, leading 4-2 after the first quarter, the Little Irish came back and scored six out of seven straight goals in the second and third quarters to hold a three goal lead near the end of the third quarter. The Royal Comets scored the final two goals of the game to bring the score to a single point differential. |

# 439 2016 All-Section Five List Released This is the sixth year for the Section Five All-Section Team. It is an effort by the Lacrosse Committee and the coaches of Section Five to identify some of the top players among the over 1,100 varsity players in the section this year. Nominations for the lists came from Head coaches, administrators and SportsFive personnel. This year 15 players were selected for the first team, 13 players for second team and this year, 12 players on the third team. Our six All Americans automatically make the first team. All players on this list must first be named to their first team All-League teams or be from Independent teams. |
